This site has been created as an aide to neighbors in the greater North Five Mile Spokane Washington area communicate and coordinate with each other. There are many features available including discussion board forums, email lists, chatrooms, online polls/surveys, useful downloads, links, and many other features to help help keep the community connected. These services are being provided for free, courtesy of Hawke and Dev 2 Dev Portal LLC. Hawke is a local community member living in the North Five Mile area since 2004. This is a great community, and the hope is to help those of us living in the North Five Mile community get to know each other and stay in contact more frequently, while also letting others know what a great community we live in! Here's just a quick list of only some of what you will be able to find on this site: * Community Email Mailing List * Online Web Forums for Community Discussions * News and bulletins relevant to the area * Free advertising for kids under 18 helping with yard work, etc. * Free Yard / Garage Sale announcements * Calendar of Events in the local community * Barbecues and Parties open to the local community * Photo gallery of the neighborhood and neighbors (for those who wish to post them * Maps, Satellite Photos and more of the community * Demographics information * Links to useful and relevant websites * Weather and traffic information specific to the area (road construction, icy/unplowed streets, etc.) * Any planned outages in the community (power, water, gas, etc.) * Community Development and Volunteer Work information * Online chat * Useful file downloads * Surveys, polls, and questionaires And much more! Be sure to sign up for the North Five Mile Neighbors and Development e-mailing lists to get email bulletins of relevant events. To sign up for the email mailing list to be notified and involved in discussions about all development in the area that will impact you, simply send a blank email to: development-subscribe@northfivemile.com. You will then receive a confirmation email you need to respond to, in order to verify your email address. Also consider signing up for the North Five Mile Community Discussion Mailing List to chat with your friends and neighbors in the area. neighbors-subscribe@northfivemile.com. You will then receive a confirmation email you need to respond to, in order to verify your email address. Note that this site was just setup Monday, May 30th, 2005, so you may find some features not yet available. Rest assured that they will be up and running very soon. Note on privacy policy, we ABSOLUTELY abhor spammers and will not spam or hand ANY of your information to any third parties, your privacy is fully respected and protected! Also note, that when you register on the website, you should be sent a confirmation email to ACTIVATE your website account.
