The Five Mile Prairie Summit is coming up on May 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Grange.
Pie Night is Back!
All Five Mile residents (especially our new neighbors!) are invited to stop by the Grange and ask questions about life on Five Mile. Meet new people and hear about the activities your Grange members are planning. Representatives from other Five Mile groups and organizations will be on hand to answer your questions. County Utterly Ignores Residents, and concedes everything to developer!
The decision on the Redstone Plat is finally in, and the county not only gave away everything to the developer, they did not implement even one single recomendation, and worse yet recommended cutting away at neighbors tress on their private property! Call the county, the press, anyone, try to have your voice heard somehow.

November 5, 2006 TO RESIDENTS OF FOREST HILLS, N. 5-MILE ROAD, ELMA DRIVE FROM: Betty Wilson, Forest Hills Homeowners Assoc. You have no doubt already received notice of the Traffic Information Meeting for Proposed Redstone Development to be held November 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Brentwood Elementary School. This is a follow-up meeting to report the findings of a traffic study done by Whipple Consulting Engineers, agent for Harley Douglas. Many of you attended the initial meeting held last April.

Those living on Lawrence Drive (including myself) will have noticed a lot of (de)construction near the corner of Lawrence Drive and Ardmore.
Freeway planned through Whitworth-Waikiki area!?!?!?
"...the good citizens who live in the Whitworth--Waikiki area don't know that these same county traffic engineers have in mind using the right of way under the wide power line route which runs through their neighborhood to construct the westerly continuation of the north-south freeway which, because of Bigelow Gulch, will be summarily transformed into a semi-beltway..."
